Kristi Mikula – Director / Vice-Chairman
She co-owns Backcountry Cowboy Outfitters, an outdoor retail store in Islamorada, and is both a resident and business owner in the area.

Andre Hopman – Director
Born and raised in the Keys, André returned home after college with degrees in English Literature and History from Florida International University. He developed a passion for construction while building his first home in the Village of Islamorada when he was 22. Since 2010, he has worked in Islamorada in the family construction business.
“As a builder, I understand that there is more to making a home desirable than just beautiful details and waterfront views; it’s the neighborhood, the people, and the community that surround it. The Islamorada Foundation’s mission to enhance the parks and greenspace in our community is a vital component in preserving that desired way of life here in Islamorada. I am honored to serve on the board and look forward to the future.”
J.C. Mikula – Director / Chairman / Treasurer
Co-owner of Backcountry Cowboy Outfitters, a locally owned outdoor retail store in Islamorada. J.C. dedicated 4 years serving on the Village of Islamorada Near Shore Water Citizens Advisory Committee in addition to 6 years on the Village of Islamorada Parks and Recreation Citizens Advisory Committee. He is a resident and business owner in Islamorada.

David Osborn – Director
As a graduate with an Architecture degree from Auburn University, David was excited to move back to join the Family business based in Islamorada since 1992. Since 2003, David has worked full time in Islamorada and feels he understands what makes Islamorada unique.
“I think you have to treat the Islamorada community like a family. This island is unique not only because of how beautiful the environment is, but also because of the people. I hope that with my Architectural background, and the help of the Islamorada Foundation, we can continue to improve the quality of life here in Islamorada.”
